ABSOLUTELY not! I do not care to join any outfit that is "free:, that means
becoming a product sold to advertisers instead of a customer.
Facebook in particular has a nasty reputation for screwing up privacy and
having things supposedly deleted pop up again unexpectedly....

Esther is right. Facebook, by its terms and conditions, owns everything on
Facebook including the so-called private posts. Everything. It analyzes,
data-mines, and bundles that information for sale to whomever. I have an
account so I can read other people's posts, but I never, ever put anything
up.
