Well the summer flea season is now over and winter weather is howling in
fast.    But the goods keep coming and I'm starting the winter pile here
at the shop.  Got lots of fresh and good old tools in here.

PayPal is now accepted and preferred (if you use it) on all items. It's
easier for me to ship items through there, especially First Class
ones.   Checks and money orders are still welcome.

And remember........da more ya buy, the cheaper they fly!

First contact (that is e-mail, or phone) that says I want it gets it.
Prices do not include shipping.  All items are shipped with Delivery
Confirmation. Insurance, unless it is a big order or a very fragile item
is optional. Just let me know. Also, I am shipping a lot more stuff via
First Class mail. There will be a small amount added to the shipping
cover the cost of the padded mailer. I don't get them for free.

Please put your name and address in the message. Saves time and email
traffic!

Stanley

Stanley No 80 Cabinet Scraper Plane.  This weighs 1 lb 7 oz unboxed.
This has the B casting mark which shows up on Stanley tools made from
1899 until 1902.  This is in  reasonably good condition.  This was
cleaned and refinished.  The sole has some scratches, a few dings, and
some frosting.  The japanning was pretty much gone so that's why the
refinish job.  The blade clamp is good other than some frosting.  This
will need a blade.  All the screws work and were oiled.  This ain't
pristine but it will get the job done.  $28.00

Stanley No 12 4 Inch Type 1 Try Square.  This weighs 4 oz unboxed. There
is no maker's mark but these early ones only had the patent date stamped
on the lead fill. This was made by Stanley between 1874 and 1887.  This
is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned. The blade has some
staining, frosting, and user initials on the front.  The edges and
corners are good.  The machined surfaces of the handle have some
frosting as well and user initials on the front.  The japanning is
original and there for the most part on both sides.   There is a little
paint and funky on the inside area of the  back.  This ain't pristine
but tools that are well over the 130 year old mark rarely are.  $19.00

decent condition and was cleaned.  The blade has some frosting and some
spots of light pitting.  The edges and corners are good. The rosewood
handle has some staining. There is a sliver off of the one edge and a
raised chip on the one side.  The locking screw works and was oiled.
This ain't pretty or perfect but considering that's well over 120 years
old, well it ain't all that bad.  $18.00

Stanley No 42W Saw Set Or Sawset. This weighs 14 1/4 oz unboxed. This
was made in the early 1960's during Stanley's "blue" period. This is in
reasonably good condition and was not cleaned. There is some wear to the
finish and a couple of dots of rust there and here but nothing too bad.
The decal on the handle is partially there. The plunger tip and anvil
face are good. This ain't the prettiest but it will get the job done.  A
working old Stanley saw set for sure! $22.00

good other than some frosting.  The sole has a patch of light pitting

but it's not cracked.  The japanning is original and about 80% present.
There is some funky on there.  The cap works and the blade angle
adjuster works as well.  This will need a blade.  The rosewood handle
has a chip off of the turning where the screw is, but I put it back on
with the pretty side up.  There are some dings but it's solid.  All the
screws work and were oiled. This ain't the prettiest but these guys are

Stanley No 81 Cabinet Scraper Plane.  This weighs 1 lb 12 3/4 oz
unboxed.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned (it might not look
like it, but trust me, it was!)  There is some overall patina. The
plating on the tops of the handles is present but a little rough.  There
is a small chip off of the rosewood sole, along with some scratches and
wear, but it's not completely worn out.  The screw for the blade clamp
and the rod for the clamp head both work and were oiled.  The screws on
the sole also remove.  This will need a blade.  Minty picked up and
moved out of town on this guy a while back, but it will get the job
done.  $28.00

1896 for the process used to make this tool.  This is in as found
condition and was not cleaned.  There is some wear to the plating and
some light patina on the base.  The clear level vial is good and the
protective cover rotates.  The vial assembly does wiggle a little.  The
base is good other than the wear and patina. This ain't minty but
considering that it's over 100 years old, well it sure ain't that bad.

The edges and corners are good. The rosewood handle has a few dings,
some punch marks and user initials on both sides.  The locking screw

hard to find, especially one this old. $24.00

Stanley No 65 Boxwood Marking Gage.  This weighs 4 3/4 oz unboxed. As
you can see, somebody drilled a hanging hole through the mark but I know
what it is.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned. The beam has
some stains and wear at the end where the tip is, but it's straight and
all the rulings are readable.  The point is good and the screw works.
The head also has some stains and wear.  The locking screw does it's
job.  This ain't pristine but it will get the job done.  $17.00

Machinist & Dividers

L S Starrett Combination Square Center Finder Head.  Measuring 3 1/2"
across the tips and this weighs 5 oz unboxed.  This isn't signed but few
of these are.  This will fit the 12" and 18" Starrett square rules along
with their Brown & Sharpe cousins.  This is in very good condition and
was lightly cleaned.  There was just a little oil residue.  I really
don't think that this was used much at all.  The machined surfaces are
good.  The black crinkle finish is original and good.  The locking screw
and tab are good to go.  They don't get any better than this.  $23.00

Pat. No. 325,991 on Sept. 8, 1885 for the design of this tool.  This is
in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  The body has a few dots
and some scuffs but nothing too bad.  The plating on the wheel is worn a
little on the front and a little more on the back.  The spring loaded
tip is good and this spins freely. This ain't pristine but it is not a
very common tool, at least in my travels.  $30.00

This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned. There is a little
patina on the legs and user initials on the one but nothing too bad. The
screw threads are good and the nut travels smoothly.  The tips are quite
pointy.  This ain't perfect but it sure ain't bad.  $20.00

This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  The blade has some
staining, frosting, scuffs, and a few lightly pitted spots. The edges
and corners are good.  The handle also has some frosting and there is
some light pitting on the back edge.  The corners and edges on that are
also good.  This is true according to my reference square here.  This

long and this weighs 7 oz unboxed.  Bemis & Call were Springfield MA
tool makers in business from 1844 until 1930.  This has the Cast Steel
mark so it's fairly early.  This is in reasonably good condition and was
cleaned.  There is some frosting and staining but nothing too bad.
There is a small user name on the one arm.  The tips are good.  The
locking screw and the fine adjustment nut work.  Note how the wing goes
to the left on this guy, rather than the right like most of these that
you see. This is a quality tool that is ready to work.  $18.00

1866 for the design of this tool.  This is in decent condition and was
cleaned.  There is some overall frosting and spots of light pitting.
The top of the joint is a little flattened but the joint is good and
opens the full distance.  The locking screw and clamp plate are good as
well.  The steel tips are a little dull.  This ain't minty but
considering that it's somewhere between 133 and 153 years old, well it
ain't all that bad.  $28.00

lightly scratched user initials.  The back of the blade has some very
light pitting and a user name as well.  THe edges and corners are good.
The handle has some light pitting on the inside face and the outside but
the edges on that are good as well.  This is true according to my
reference square here.  This ain't minty but considering that it is at
the least, 127 years old and probably a whole lot older than that, well
it sure ain't bad. $30.00

L S Starrett Machinist 12 Inch 3 Piece Combination Square.  This weighs
1 lb 10 1/2 oz unboxed.  This is in reasonable condition and was
cleaned.  The rule has some stained and frosted spots along with user
initials, but nothing too bad and all the rulings are readable.  The
edges and corners are crispy.  The square head has some wear to the
finish and the same user initials and shop number marked on it.  The
vertical machined face has a couple of light spots of pitting down by
the slot but it's clean for the most mark and the miter face is good
other than some staining.  This even has the scribe.  The protractor is
a No. 490 bevel edge.  The face on that is good, the finish has a little
wear and some funky spots. The locking screws and tabs are good on both
and the screws for the protractor head both work.  Both of the clear
levels are good to go.  This ain't minty but for a used tool, well it
sure ain't bad. $65.00

than some light frosting and some dings down by the socket.  The rest of
the blade has more of the same.  The edge will need some work. The
socket has some dings and I did clean a little mushrooming off.  The
handle is a replacement.  That is good other than some stains.  This

Three Colt Patent Batavia NY Lever Action Bar Clamps.  They open 6 1/2"

ones around 3 1/2", 1 3/8" wide, and they weigh 6 lbs 1 oz unboxed.

have a U shaped steel bar rather than the cast iron bars used
originally.  These are in as found condition and were not cleaned.
There is some paint spray, paint splats, and overall patina.  The clamps
are good and hold.  The bars are straight.  The inner jaws pivot on a
screw to allow for clamping slightly less than square items.  The
moveable jaws are good for the most part.  These ain't pretty or perfect
but this is not a very commonly found style for this clamp.  $20.00

tool.  The mark is faint but there is enough to figure things out.  This
is in decent condition and was cleaned. The blade is good but could use
a little sharpening.  The handle has a little roughness from a previous
cleaning.  The blade is replaceable by knocking the pin out of the side
of the handle but I didn't mess with that.  This ain't perfect but these
guys sure don't show up very often.  $15.00

back side is a funky but that won't hurt anything.  This ain't minty but
it will get the job done.  $16.00

W Butcher Cast Steel 2 1/4 Inch Plane Iron.  Measuring 7 9/16" long, 2
1/4" wide across the edge, and this weighs 9 1/4 oz unboxed.  This is in
reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  Overall there isn't much in
the way of patina.  There is just a whisker of mushrooming on the top.
The steel cutting face has some frosting and light pitting for the first
1/2 and some spots after than but most of that will work out as this is
sharpened, which it will need.  This ain't perfect but they ain't making
these guys no more also.  Just saying.  $18.00

Enterprise Small Cast Iron Coopers Bung Auger.  Measuring 11 7/16" long,
the lead auger is 5/8" in diameter, the auger is 1 7/16" in diameter at
the top, and this weighs 12 3/4 oz unboxed.  This isn't signed but it
was made by Enterprise.  This is in reasonably good condition and was
cleaned.  The screw and cutters on the lead auger are good.  The main
auger is also good with nothing serious patina wise.  The edge isn't
shaving sharp but it's not too bad in that department.  The handle is
good other than some stains and a little wear.  The screw removes but
the handle does not.  This ain't minty but as these guys go, well it
sure ain't bad.  $25.00

much in the way of patina to fuss about.  The tips are good to go.  This

3/4 oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.
The blade has some frosting and a few spots of pitting but it retains
most of the original bluing.  The rosewood handle has some dings and a
little wear but it's solid and the locking screw does it's job.  This
ain't pristine but it sure ain't bad.  $20.00

P S & W No 1 Ex 1/2 Inch Mortising Chisel.  Measuring 10 3/4" from the
edge to the end of the socket, the blade is 7 3/4" long, the steel bit
is 5 5/16" down the center, this is 16 7/8" overall, and this weighs 14
1/4 oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned by
some one else.  The steel bit has some patch of pitting in the center
and a few stained spots but it's good overall. The iron body has some
light patina.  The socket is good but had a little mushrooming removed.
The handle is a new replacement done by the other guy.  That is well
made and on tight. This longer ones sure are getting few and far
between, at least around these here parts.  $35.00

Other Tools & Collectibles

Emmert Turtleback Patternmaker Vise To Restore.  This is in as found,
fresh from the shop condition.  There is a bunch of saw dust residue and
shop patina from decades of use.  The front jaw wiggles and it looks
like the inside of the front jaw has some chipping around the hole for
the shaft, but I can't say for sure.  The hinge on the mounting bracket
doesn't move but I didn't really nuts with it.  The main screw does
work.  This is missing the tilt bracket and rod but most of the are.
This is what it is but for the money you ain't gonna do much better.
This is PICKUP only here at my shop here in Nesquehoning PA. $265.00

Hubbard Blacksmith 2 lb Straight Peen Hammer Head.  Measuring 4 13/16"
long, the face is 1 7/16" in diameter, the peen is 1 1/2" high, and this
weighs 2 lbs 2 1/4 oz unboxed.  Hubbard is a long time supplier of tools
to the railroad trade.  This also has the Baltimore & Ohio railroad
mark.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  There is some
overall patina including a chisel marked marked W on the one side.  The
face has some wear and dings.  The peen was dressed at some point and
there is a little mushrooming and some wear to the one corner.  The eye
has some crusty but it's good to go.  This ain't pretty or perfect but
it's a tool with some history that will still get the job done.  $20.00

maker.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  There
ain't much in the way of patina to fuss about other than some dings.
Both of the points are good.  The tang is also good and the hole where
this would be pinned to the handle is good as well.  I gotta say that
these guys sure have been few and far between of late.  $17.00

caviity is .32, and this weighs 2 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the
maker.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned. There are
some scuff marks on the arms that are left over from when this was
made.  The cavities are good but there is a whisker of light showing
when they are closed.  The sprue cutter is also good. The joint does
have some wiggle and the screw doesn't move.  This ain't pristine but
these guys are sure getting few and far between, at least around here.

stamped on the head but the maker's mark is long gone.  This is in
decent condition and was cleaned.  There is some overall light patina.
The face and groove has some very light pitting.  The striking end had
some mushrooming cleaned off of it.  This ain't pretty or perfect but it
will get the job done. $22.00

Small 2 oz Ball Peen Hammer Head.  Measuring 2 3/16" long, the face is
9/16" in diameter, the peen is 7/16" in diameter, and this weighs 2 oz
unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker, there is a 1 cast on the top of
the face.  This is in as found condition and was not cleaned.  To my
eye, it looks like a casting that was only partially finished.  They
started on the face, cleaned up the sides a little, but didn't do
anything with the peen.  So it will need a little filing to get it right
and of course a handle.  But it is a neat little hammer to say the
least.  $14.00

dressed recently and is good other than some tiny chips on the edges.
The face on the lower one has some scuffs and light pitting.  The spike
ends are good.  This is a good working pair of these guys and they are

was cleaned.  There is some overall patina.  The jaws don't close flush
but that could be fixed.  The joint is stiff but it does work.  The jaws
only open to 1" but you won't be working anything bigger with this guy.

an American maker of turnscrews but there is no other information about

light pitting up by the tip on the one side of the blade and some
lighter stuff on the other side. The tip is good.  The handle has some

at the top, and this weighs 14 1/2 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the
maker.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  There is the usual
overall patina.  The center depresssion has a little crusty down
inside.  The shaft has some chipping on the end but it's good to go.  I
can't say what this was made for, but somebody must have needed it at
some point and I doubt that there are too many more out there like
