28293 Mike H <hdesigns@f...> 1997‑10‑12 Bio: Mike Holloway
Hi list, I'm new here and read somewhere that I should send a bio. Here are
all the dirty details. I am a thirty-three year old furniture maker living
in Park City Utah. My shop is located in Heber Ut. When I'm not in the
shop, which isn't very often, I'm either skiing
(it's been snowing since Friday night) or hiking in the mountains. I am
completly obsessed with hand planes. I have made a 12" scrub plane, a 24"
pearwood jointer, a 9" smoother out of holly, a couple of other smoothers
out of cherry with ebony soles. I also own a Stanley #8, numerous wood
molding planes, A couple of record smoothers and jack planes, and a NORRIS
A5. I also have a 12" Oliver Jointer ( machine, 1500lbs, needs lots of
work) that was made in 1905. I'd like to get a Speirs miter plane, but my
wife would probably kill me. I've been designing and building furniture for
about the last 12 years. The first 10 of those years were in the Washington
D.C. area. That's about all I can think of for now. Mike

Mike! At last, we've found you! We had just about given up in the
DC area, and now it turns out you made it as far as Utah--far from
Washington DC in so many ways.....
As you know, the NORRIS in question rightfully belongs to my branch
of the family. I think the ebony-soled smoother is mine too, but I'll have
to check Grandad's will. Please email me so that we can arrange transfer
to the rightful owner.

Just say, (TM pl): Just kidding, and welcome to the porch, etc. ;-)
