Hello,

For the past twenty years or so I’ve made my living in either the
manufacturing or quality engineering fields, in the defense,
semiconductor and now telecommunications industry. I’ve been temporarily
living in Baltimore for the past 9 years. I’ve been using old tools off
and on for about 12 years. Over the past couple of years I’ve moved from
the realm of being just a user to that of user/collector. My main source
of old tools up until a couple of years ago had been Brimfield. Then I
partially overcame my natural distrust of all things electronic (I
bought my first VCR 5 years ago, wanted to make sure the technology was
proven) and half-heartedly embraced the Internet. I found the old tools
list by accident, and have been lurking for almost 2 years now. In this
time I’ve learned quite a bit from the list and the archive.
