Howdy.
Another PATINA is in the bag as they say, and as always it was a great
time. Saw a lot of folks that I haven't seen in years there, including
Charlie Driggs and a bunch of others that said hello in one way or
another. One thing is for certain, we all be getting old....sigh
This was my table set up on Friday.

On the left is the elusive Tony Zafutto and on the right Patrick Leach,
who hasn't been to a PATINA in like forever.

Back to the tailgating and it was pretty close to being filled.

Pickings were steady, not cheap, but I did get some stuff. First batch
are the hammers, starting with a macadamizing hammer, the handle is
suspect, a big funky blacksmith top tool, a nice Lignum Vitae wood
carver's mallet, a big double face auto body planishing hammer, 3
jeweler's hammers included an uncommon straight peen one, a Heller Bros
blacksmith or farrier rounding hammer head, a hand forged carpenter's
hatchet, and a small round and square faced hammer.

There were lots of chisels, gouges, and carving tools around. I got a
decent assortment including a couple of English ones with boxwood
handles, a Swedish paring chisel, a German paring chisel that is WW1
vintage, a nice L & I J White gouge with a London Pattern handle, a bag
of orphan chisel handles, and up top is a set of 5 NOS C Maier carving
tools.

This one starts off with a hand forged coach maker's router, an H Chapin
Union Factory boxwood mortising gage, a compass saw that is either late
18th or early 19th Century vintage, a small hand forged tapered reamer,
a Stanley No. 34 machinist's level, a cast iron file handle, a Huber
Phila PA turnscrew, a bigger turnscrew, the piece at the lower right is
part of a patented hand saw filing guide, but I didn't get the rest of
it, a Booth & Mills chair maker's spoon bit, set 4 lipped auger bits, a
sighed hand forged small draw bore pin, a small Goodell Pratt ratcheting
screwdriver, a pair of small perfect handle screwdrivers, a Belgium
coticle sharpening store, and a C S See complex molding plane.

Last of the pickings, starts off with 4 Colt No. 2 bar clamps, a small
user made bar clamp, 4 bevel squares including a 6" Stanley No. 18. a
small Winterbottom patent try and mitre square, a brass Polygraph Co
tool, a Shaw patent 1887 drafting protractor made by Daring Brown &
Sharpe, a neat user made adjustable double bevel square, a small hand
forged tongs, a Starrett No 85 extension divider with the patent date
and caliper tips, a big P S Stubs screwplate, and a gorgeous rosewood
and brass rule and bevel, that was not cheap, but is a great looking tool.

There will be a video next week when I get some time.
